Tanzania-China Economic and Trade Relations
From January to October 2021, the bilateral import and export volume of goods between China and Tanzania was US$5,508.32 million, an increase of US$1,919.9897 million compared with the same period in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 53.6%.
From January to October 2021, the total value of China’s exports to Tanzania was US$4,961,240,900, an increase of US$1,727,963,900 compared with the same period in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 53.6%; the total value of China’s imports from Tanzania was US$547,077,800, compared with 2020. The same period increased by 192.0258 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 53.3%
In terms of some industries, the added value of Tanzania’s agriculture in 2020 was US $16.687 billion, an increase of US $457 million compared with 2019, accounting for 26.74% of Tanzania’s GDP. The industrial added value was US $17.896 billion, an increase of US $399 million over the previous year, accounting for 28.67% of the total GDP. Among them, the added value of manufacturing industry was US $5.307 billion, accounting for 8.5% of GDP and 185.11% of industrial added value.
