The Bulgarian crane market fell -X% to X dollars in 2020, the second consecutive year of decline after two years of growth. Overall, however, consumption continued to show a deep contraction. The growth rate was most pronounced in 2018, with a year-on-year increase of X%. During the period under review, the market peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, consumption has remained low.
In value terms, crane production in 2020 dropped significantly to $X (estimated at export prices). Overall, however, production continued to show a clear downward trend. The growth rate was most pronounced in 2011, when production increased by X% year-on-year. During the period under review, production peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, production failed to regain momentum.
Bulgarian crane export scale
Bulgarian overseas shipments of cranes, mobile crane frames increased for the third year in a row, increasing by X% to X units in 2020. Overall, export volume growth has increased buoyancy. The average export price of cranes in 2020 was US$2,691/unit, a year-on-year decrease of -8.7%.
The average price of crane imports in 2020 was US$3,055 per unit, down -28.4% from the previous year.
