 Electric hoist slipping is a common fault in lifting equipment. Below we will analyze how to deal with a slipping fault and how to prevent similar failures during use.

Main reasons for the failure of the electric hoist slipping are as follows.

The gear fixed bearing in the electric hoist reducer directly connected to the hoisting motor is damaged. When the two worn teeth of the gear mesh with the gear connected to the reel, the two gears cannot be meshed, the reel is mechanically separated from the lifting motor and the brake, and the heavy object slips under the action of gravity.

When encountering the problem of electric hoist slipping,

  • first press the emergency stop button to cut off the power of the electric hoist;
  • take preventive measures to prevent the load from falling down;
  • remove the load safely; perform a comprehensive overhaul of the equipment and continue after troubleshooting use.

Preventive measures for electric hoist slipping.

  • Use wire ropes that meet the load-bearing capacity to carry the load.
  • It is forbidden to use electric hoists to directly carry the load.
  • strengthen maintenance and overhaul.
